For the last 15 years I have been tutoring students for 11-Plus, KS1, KS2, KS3, SATs, Functional Skills (level 1 & 2), GCSE and QTS Maths as a private tutor. In addition to this, I also have the experience of working with children in school.

I have graduated in Maths and have a Masters in Computer application. I am extremely passionate about teaching and love to keep going extra miles to help my students achieve excellence by beating their own standards with every lesson.

I take the following teaching approaches to optimize my students’ skills and knowledge about the subject.

 

• Assess and Identify the need of my students by developing and planning lessons tailored to suit their needs.

• Adapt the delivery style and pace by providing regular assessments.

​

• Create and provide custom home works and assessments based on student’s diverse needs.

​

• Regularly assess, monitor and remediate student’s performance.

​

• Provide constructive feedback regularly to the parents about student’s progress.

​

• Integrate technology to enhance lessons by using devices such as iPads etc.

Additional strategy used for 11 Plus Maths tutoring:

 

• Explain each topic and concept thoroughly and clearly.

 

• Many practice questions provided throughout the lesson as well as for home work to ensure your child masters the topic.

 

• Provide tests after completion of each topic to assess the students understanding

• Work on accuracy and speed of problem solving.

​

• Re-visit certain topics based upon test results.
